Abstract:This literature review aims to provide information on how to select and process meat in an outbreak of Foot and Mouth Disease (FMD). FMD is not a zoonotic disease, so meat from infected livestock is safe for consumption. To prevent the spread of FMD, consumers need to understand and apply it in distributing, selecting, storing and processing meat.
