“…The prepared samples, in the form of solutions, were subjected to analysis using Inductive Coupled Plasma-Mass Spectrometry (ICP-MS), which was calibrated using the standard reference material (SRM MA-A-2 (TM) Fish Flesh Homogenate) as per the methodologies described by and Rosli et al (2018) [3,4]. To ensure accurate measurements and eliminate variations arising from differences in moisture content within organisms, the heavy metal concentrations in the tissues were calculated based on their dry weights.…”

“…It is well-documented that human activities, such as the combustion of fossil fuels in coal-fired power plants, natural gas and oil extraction, mining, and ore processing, as well as the manufacturing of these fuels, contribute to the enrichment of heavy metals and naturally occurring radioactivity within aquatic ecosystems. Additional anthropogenic sources encompass the reprocessing of spent nuclear fuel, underwater nuclear device testing, accidents at nuclear power plants, and the disposal of hazardous and radioactive materials post-nuclear operations [3][4][5][6]. Given that uranium and thorium radionuclides primarily enter the human body through food consumption, with a minor contribution from respiration, comprehending the decay sequence of these radionuclides is of paramount importance [7].…”

“…Moreover, the presence of other minerals in marble gives it a variety of attractive colors [9]. Therefore, it is important to examine the mineralogical, physical, and chemical concentrations of the samples when conducting radiation studies on them [19][20][21][22]. Radionuclide concentrations, the radiological hazard parameters obtained from them, and the results of chemical analysis can be examined using multivariate statistical analyses.…”
