Penerapan Model Pembelajaran Kontekstual Untuk Meningkatkan Hasil Belajar IPS Siswa Kelas IV Sekolah Dasar

Abstract

ABSTRAK Mata pelajaran Ilmu Pengetahuan Alam (IPA) di Sekolah Dasar (SD) masih menjadi momok bagi siswa, utamanya di kelas rendah. Hal ini dikarenakan guru belum memiliki metode yang tepat untuk digunakan di dalam kelas dan pembelajaran belum bersifat realistik dan hanya sekedar penyampaian saja. Salah satu solusi yang tepat untuk menyelesaikan permasalahan ini adalah dengan penerapan metode pembelajaran Picture and Picture adalah model pembelajaran dimana siswa dituntut lebih aktif, inovatif dan kreatif dalam proses pembelajaran yang mengandalkan media gambar. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah pemanfaatan metode pembelajaran Picture and Picture untuk peningkatan hasil belajar siswa kelas rendah. Menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif dan kuantitatif dengan bentuk Penelitian Tindakan Kelas (PTK). Penelitian ini dilaksanakan sebanyak dua siklus dan setiap siklus terdapat dua kali pertemuan. Penelitian ini bertempat di SDI Insan Kamil Bangkinang Kota Kabupaten Kampar. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan Metode Pembelajaran Picture and Picture terbukti dapat meningkatkan hasil belajar siswa kelas rendah. Peran guru dalam menerapkan metode pembelajaran Picture and Picture menjadi kunci utama. ABSTRACT Natural Science in elementary school is still a scourge for students, especially in low class. This is because the teacher does not have the right method to be used in the classroom and the lesson is not realistic and merely deliver. One of the right solutions to solve this problem is with the application of Picture and Picture learning method is a learning model where students are demanded more active, innovative and creative in the learning process that relies on the media images. The purpose of this research is the use of Picture and Picture learning method to improve student learning outcomes of low grade. Using a qualitative and quantitative approach with Class Action Research (PTK). The research was conducted in two cycles and each cycle there were two meetings. This research took place at SDI Insan Kamil Bangkinang Kota Kampar. The results showed Picture and Picture Learning Methods proven to improve student learning outcomes low grade. The role of teachers in applying the method of learning Picture and Picture become the main key.
