Senior citizens are those in the age group of 60 years old and above who require attention and close care in reference to aspects such as motivation, accommodation, spirituality, emotional support system and security. At present, the development of websites in relation to senior citizens centers solely on features dealing with facilities, amenities and health. Hence, leaving out the critical spiritual/religious element that operates as lifeline of wellbeing for the elderly that is essential to produce a healthy group of elderly people who are spiritually sound based on religion. On this account, the study is dedicated to identify content and evaluate Muslim elderly care website from the perception of students. The case study began by identifying the selected Muslim elderly care website's content, followed by an online questionnaire by means of Google Forms to 60 respondents of Sunnah and Information Management Program students from Islamic Science University of Malaysia (USIM). Descriptive analysis was utilized for the data analysis process assisted by version 26 of IBM SPSS. The study's findings found that the website under observation has created five main menu sites namely: (i) Home, (ii) Definition, (iii) Islamic perspective, (iv) Abuse of the elderly and (v) Suggestion. Feedback gained have revealed that this platform has proven to be highly beneficial and suitable for the community as well as able to increase public awareness and understanding of elderly care from an Islamic perspective. Nevertheless, the website is lacking features like video and audio to draw users' interest to face the challenges of caring for the elderly in today's digital age; hence, stands in need of enhancement.

This study aims to identify the relationship between anxiety and depression with quality of life among the elderly with dementia living in institution. This study also propose reminscence group therapy in reducing depression and anxiety among residents in institutions. This cross sectional study was conducted at Rumah Seri Kenangan Cheras. A total of 58 elderly with mild to moderate demensia were selected through a series of screening process by a qualified clinical psychologist. Several instruments has been used including Quality of Life-AD (QoL-AD) Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS), Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) to investigate the relationship between anxiety and depression with quality of life among the elderly with dementia. This study shows that there is a negative relationship between the level of anxiety and quality of life among the elderly with dementia. Meanwhile, the relationship between depression and the quality of life of elderly with dementia in RSK Cheras shows that there is a significant relationship. The application of reminiscene group therapy as one of the effective intervention to improve quality of life and reduce anxiety and depression among the elderly with dementia in institution were discussed.

Objective: The population of the elderly in Malaysia increases every year. However, there is a lack of attention given to adults' attitudes towards the elderly in the country. This study aims to examine the attitudes of adults under the age of 60 towards the elderly in Malaysia. Methodology: The study involved 20 respondents who were interviewed in a focus group. The respondents were divided into four age groups, namely 18 to 29 years, 30 to 39 years, 40 to 49 years, and 50 to 59 years. Each group has five respondents. The interviews were conducted virtually via Webex online application. Each interview took about 1 to 2 hours. Results: Findings from the study showed that most respondents have positive, as opposed to negative, attitudes towards the elderly. The positive attitudes identified in this study are feelings of concern and affection for the elderly (affective), believing that the elderly should be respected (cognitive), and giving focus and attention to the elderly (behavioural). On the other hand, negative attitudes towards the elderly include being easily irritated and feeling stressed (affective), believing that the elderly have less mental and physical strengths (cognitive), and being rude to the elderly (behavioural). Conclusion: The positive attitudes of adults towards the elderly in Malaysia indicate that Malaysians still preserve the tradition of respecting the elderly, and do not marginalize them because of their age.
