Spiny lobster, a fishery commodity with important economic value, is often infested by Octolasmis sp. on their bodies, which causes stress conditions that lead to death. This study aimed to determine the anatomical pathology and hemolymph profile of spiny lobster infested with Octolasmis sp. in bottom cages. The method used was an observation, where 30 lobsters (weight 112.44 ± 24.63 g) were carried out in June–July 2022 at the Pesona Bahari Wongsorejo, Banyuwangi. Hemolymph profile and anatomical pathology data were analyzed, respectively, using the Independent T-Test and Kruskal-Wallis test (α = 95%). The results based on scoring data showed a very significant difference between infected and healthy lobsters (p < 0.01), characterized by the occurrence of tail flakes, lesions on the carapace, gill melanization, and the appearance of ulcers on the ventral abdomen. A very significant change occurred in the hemolymph profile of infected lobsters compared to healthy lobsters (p < 0.01). Total hemocyte count increased with high concentrations of granular cells, respectively 22.1–37.8 ´x 106 cells/mL and 63.75–64.5%, along with lobster damage, while hyaline cells decreased. This study showed that there was a change in anatomic pathology and hemolymph profile between infected and healthy lobsters.

Natural ingredients have been widely used for wound care and healing because of their flavonoid, saponin, and tannin contents, which can facilitate the healing process. This study aimed to examine the efficacy of celery leaf extract cream in the treatment of cutaneous wounds on the surfaces of white Wistar rats. This study involved laboratory-based experimental research utilizing a pretest-posttest with a control group design. Twenty white rats were sampled for this study and divided into four groups, each consisting of five rats, including one control group and three treatment groups. The extract was obtained via maceration, whereas the celery leaf extract cream contained an oil-in-water emulsion. A one-way Anova test was used to test differences between groups (p < 0.05), and a Post Hoc test with LSD technique was conducted to determine the most effective treatment group. Celery leaf extract cream has been found to be more efficient in accelerating skin regeneration and stimulating fibroblast proliferation than base cream. This is evidenced by the superior performance of the celery leaf extract cream treatment group in closing the incision wound, as well as the group's higher production of fibroblasts that are essential for wound healing, compared to the base cream group. Wounds disrupt anatomical and skin functions. Thus, proper treatment and healing are needed. Saponins, tannins, and flavonoids in natural medicinal extracts accelerate wound healing. Plants and natural substances are usually employed in topical therapy. This study tested the efficacy of ethanol extract cream from the avocado pulp (Persea americana Mill.) in treating dermapen-induced lesions on white rats (Rattus norvegicus) Wistar strain. This is a lab study or an experiment. Mouse samples were divided into four treatment groups of five mice each. This study also found that avocado flesh extract (Persea americana Mill.) significantly improved dermapen scar healing compared to base cream. The treatment groups given avocado pulp extract (Persea americana Mill.) exhibited higher healing percentages than the control group: 60.5, 95.7, 97.3, and 100%. Researchers found that 15% avocado flesh extract cream (Persea americana Mill.) healed dermapen scars best. This study found that avocado flesh extract cream (Persea americana Mill.) accelerates skin regeneration and increases fibroblasts more than base creams. The highest and densest number of fibroblast cells was found in treatment group 3 healing wounds. Fibroblasts indicate active dermapen wound healing.
