Abstrak: Selama masa pandemi COVID-19, perlindungan terhadap infeksi atau kontrol penularannya menjadi sangat penting baik di masyarakat ataupun tenaga kesehatan. Peserta didik calon tenaga kesehatan baik mahasiswa kedokteran, keperawatan dan terapis lainnya perlu mendapatkan pendidikan tentang kontrol infeksi dengan baik. Meskipun pandemi COVID-19 di dunia telah berlalu atau menjadi status endemis, banyak hal yang menjadi kebiasaan baru yang tetap harus dibiasakan dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Mahasiswa Kedokteran merupakan bagian dari masyarakat yang dalam pencapaian profesinya sering berhubungan dengan risiko penularan infeksi sehingga sangat perlu dibekali pengetahuan dan kebiasaan untuk perlindungan terhadap infeksi di masa depan. Kegiatan pengabdian ini diikuti oleh 20 peserta mahasiswa Fakultas Kedokteran UMY Angkatan 2022. Evaluasi dilakukan dengan mengisi kuesioner pengetahuan tentang pencegahan dan pengendalian infeksi, dimana terjadi peningkatan menjadi 85% yang terjawab benar oleh seluruh peserta. Evaluasi ketrampilan melalui kemampuan peserta untuk melakukan cuci hidung secara mandiri dengan pengawasan sebanyak 80% peserta, sehingga dapat disimpulkan kegiatan pelaksanaan pengabdian masyarakat ini berlangsung dengan baik.Abstract: During the COVID-19 pandemic, protection against infection or control of its transmission is very important both in the community and in health workers. Students of prospective health workers, both medical students, nursing students and other therapists, need to get proper education about infection control. Even though the COVID-19 pandemic in the world has passed or has become endemic, many things have become new habits that still have to get used to in everyday life. Medical students are part of the community whose professional achievements are often associated with the risk of infection transmission, so they really need to be equipped with knowledge and habits to protect against future infections. The lectures and workshops were attended by 20 student participants from the UMY Faculty of Medicine Class of 2022. The evaluation was carried out by filling out a knowledge questionnaire about infection prevention and control, where there was an increase to 85% which were answered correctly by all participants. Evaluation of skills through the ability of participants to perform nose washing independently with supervision of 80% of participants, so that it can be concluded that the implementation of community service activities is going well and is beneficial.
