Student character survey in Indonesia in 2021, on average, produced lower index numbers compared to last year’s index results. This research aims to explore the policies and content of Character Building Training (CBT), and the impact of the programme on student character. This research was qualitative, involving informants: 60 students and 8 lecturers, who were selected using purposive and snowball techniques, so that if the data were saturated, collecting the data was considered sufficient. Data were collected through observation and in-depth interviews carried out from June to September 2022. Data analysis was carried out manually using the Discovering Cultural Themes model by carrying out data reduction, data display, and drawing conclusions and verification. The research results show that CBT is implemented through a cycle of CBT campaign, capacity building, and institutionalisation with a nurturing, learning, mentoring, and consulting approach. The content includes attitudes and values, skills, knowledge and moderate integrative insight, as well as amplifying tolerant, open, critical, caring, and creative behaviour, respecting differences, and polite and commendable behaviour. The CBT programme has amplified some aspects: religious character, discipline, politeness, caring for the environment, and patriotism. The greatest and dominant strengthening was in religious character and love of the country. The implication and contribution of this research is the continuation of character education for young people as an instrument to substantiate religious moderation.Contribution: This research is important theoretically and practically to contribute to the formation of character building in young people in Islamic tertiary institutions. Currently, character education is the main vision of Islamic tertiary institutions in Indonesia, which is associated with religious moderation as one of the priorities in the national medium-term development plan.

Pendidikan Anak Usia Dini (PAUD) adalah upaya pembinaan yang ditujukan kepada anak sejak lahir hingga usia 6 tahun yang dilakukan melalui pemberian rangsangan Pendidikan untuk membantu pertumbuhan dan perkembangan jasmani dan rohani agar anak memiliki kesiapan dalam memasuki Pendidikan lebih lanjut. Diperlukan adanya pelatihan untuk kepala sekolah dan guru PAUD agar dapat menjalin interaksi yang baik dengan murid PAUD, sehingga murid PAUD dapat tumbuh dan berkembang dengan lebih optimal. Pelatihan ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Bogor, Kabupaten Lombok Barat dan Kabupaten Lombok Timur secara hybrid. Terdapat 146 peserta yang mengikuti pelatihan dari tanggal 11, 16, 18, 20, dan 30 November 2021. Pelatihan ini secara efektif dapat meningkatkan pengetahuan peserta mengenai perkembangan anak usia PAUD, cara berinteraksi dengan anak usia PAUD, masalah perilaku anak usia PAUD, perlindungan anak usia PAUD, dan disiplin positif pada anak usia PAUD. Hal ini diperoleh dari hasil uji beda pre-test dan post-test yang menunjukkan terjadi peningkatan pengetahuan peserta yang signifikan sebanyak 4,1 poin (p = 0.00 0,01). Salah satu saran perbaikan untuk kegiatan pelatihan adalah menyelenggarakan pelatihan dalam waktu yang lebih Panjang agar proses pelatihan dapat dilakukan lebih optimal.

Student engagement in academic and non-academic activities on campus is very important for student success in academic and social fields. Self-esteem and life satisfaction have a role in increasing student engagement. This research aims to determine the extent of the simultaneous role of self-esteem and life satisfaction in the student engagement of active university students in Bandung City. The respondents of this research were 397 active university students in Bandung City. The measurement tool used to measure student engagement was USEI (University Student Engagement Inventory). The Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES) was used to measure self-esteem, while the Satisfaction with Life Scale (SLWS) was used to measure life satisfaction. The statistical analysis technique used was Multiple Regression to calculate the simultaneous role of life satisfaction and self-esteem on student engagement. The data processing results showed that life satisfaction and self-esteem simultaneously or partially play a positive role in university studentsâ€™ engagement. When university students have self-esteem and life satisfaction together, their role in student engagement is greater than their respective roles in student engagement. Apart from that, self-esteem plays a bigger role than life satisfaction toward student engagement. Practically, parents and lecturers can provide experiences that support the development of university students' self-esteem and satisfaction with their lives so that it can increase student engagement.
