The limited musical instruments available in each school in the Sundanese community environment make learning gamelan degung has its own challenges in the learning process. This research focuses on the process of learning musical instruments digitally by utilizing an application on a smartphone. The purpose of this study is to explain and analyze how to use the degung application in the learning process. This research uses a qualitative approach with observation methods, interviews. The results showed that the usefulness of this application was felt to help students in learning gamelan degung. This application is considered to be a learning aid media as an alternative to limited tools in schools, besides that this application can also be used as a learning aid for students outside of school to memorize material faster. The help of the gamelan degung application shows that the material taught can be conveyed effectively, especially at the basic level of gamelan degung. This gamelan degung application is quite helpful for students in learning gamelan degung, but it is more limited to the basic level. Some aspects of gamelan may not be fully covered by this application, but basically, it can be a substitute for conventional gamelan instruments in the learning process.
