PENGEMBANGAN PROFESIONALISME GURU PADA MTsN 1 SERANG MELALUI PENINGKATAN KOMPETENSI PROFESIONAL DAN PEDAGOGIK

Abstract

This study aims to determine the development of teacher professionalism at MTsN 1 Serang through increasing professional and pedagogical competencies. This research was conducted in the MTsN 1 Serang. The research methodology uses qualitative studies with a case study approach. While the speakers who can be used as respondents include the head of the madrasa and all madrasa teachers. Based on the results of research on the development of teacher professionalism through the improvement of professional and pedagogical competencies, the results are: First, an increase in pedagogic abilities, the ability to understand students, the ability to design learning, the ability to carry out learning processes, the ability to evaluate processes and outcomes, and the ability to develop potential students. Second, improvement in professional skills can be described by the ability to master the field of study in accordance with the teacher's educational background based on academic qualifications and teaching teachers in accordance with their expertise and majors, and have the ability and understanding of students, the ability to master educational learning through the ability to understand the type of eye lessons, organizing subject matter and utilizing learning resources.
