Critical thinking is needed by every student in solving problems, including finding problem-solving strategies. This study examines the implementation of inquiry methods in Christian religious education in forming critical thinking. Students are positioned as active learning subjects to create their learning experience independently and create critical thinking. Critical thinking is an effort to frame considerations from various points of view, understanding, interpretation, assumptions, and decision-making from relevant information. This study used a quantitative approach with instruments in the form of tests. The respondents were students of IAKN Tarutung, with a sample of 100 students. The data was analyzed with the paired sample t-test and processed with the help of SPSS 25.0 software. The analysis results showed a significance value of 0.000, or < 0.05, meaning a significant difference exists between the pre-test and post-test results. Thus, educators can implement inquiry methods in Christian education learning to form students who have high competitiveness.

The right learning model can create a fun learning environment and make it easier for students to learn lessons. In the process of learning the conventional learning model, the lecture method used is less flexible and seems stiff. The ability to cooperate is useful for training students to accept that there are many differences with other friends with different backgrounds. The Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model can maximize educators’ role in paying attention to students, and positive interactions occur between students and educators and students with other friends. This study aimed to obtain an innovative learning model. The data collection methods used were observation, interviews, document studies, and literature studies which were analyzed using qualitative descriptive analysis methods. The results showed that the application of the NHT cooperative learning model consisted of planning activities, implementation activities, final activities, and construction, resulting in increased interaction and discipline in learning, increased understanding in learning, and increased socialization and cooperation. Thus, it can be concluded that the application of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model prioritized the role of students to be active by inviting students to learn while playing. The NHT learning model helped the learning process to be effective and efficient. The selection of the application of the Numbered Head Together (NHT) cooperative learning model in Hindu Religious Education lessons is expected that learning can give more impressions and deep meaning to students in learning with a group system.

Pembelajaran geografi masih berindikasi terhadap pola yang berfokus pada guru. Hal tersebut membuktikan kecenderungan yang mengakibatkan potensi pencapaian berpikir kritis kurang optimal pada diri siswa. Penelitian pada artikel ini memiliki tujuan untuk menguji efektivitas model pembelajaran inquiry menggunakan quizizz multimedia berbasis gamification terhadap kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir kritis. Penelitian pada artikel ini menggunakan metode eksperimen dengan pendekatan kuantitatif. Subjek penelitian artikel ini adalah siswa yang diambil dari dua kelas menggunakan purposive sampling. Jumlah sampel penelitian adalah 67 orang siswa yang diambil secara acak. Data dikumpulkan dengan menggunakan tes. Untuk mendapatkan hasil penelitian, data dianalisis menggunakan statistik nonparametrik Mann-Whitney berbantuan SPSS 25 for windows karena asumsi normalitas tidak dapat dipenuhi untuk menguji efektivitas model Inquiry Learning (IL) menggunakan quizizz multimedia berbasis gamification. Hasil temuan penelitian diperoleh rata-rata skor kelas eksperimen lebih besar (80,50) daripada rata-rata kelas kontrol (74,63). Dapat disimpulkan bahwa ada pengaruh signifikansi dari keefektifan model pembelajaran inquiry menggunakan quizizz multimedia berbasis gamification terhadap pengaruh kemampuan siswa dalam berpikir kritis pada mata pelajaran Geografi.
