Proses penuaan diikuti berbagai permasalahan kesehatan terutama secara degeneratif yang dapat menimbulkan berbagai macam gangguan, antara lain: gangguan sulit tidur (insomnia). Olah raga atau aktivitas fisik akan menstimulatori aktivitas 5-hidroksi-triptamin (5-HT) atau serotonin.
