Kayu adalah komponen utama yang menjadi tolak ukur dalam penentuan untuk memilih kualitas produk meubel atau kerajinan kayu lain. Dalam pembuatan meubel, saat melakukan pemilihan kayu memang sulit, sebelum pengambilan keputusan harus melewati pertimbangan yang perlu dilihat dan diperhitungkan. Pada pertimbangan serta untuk mendapatkan model perhitungan matematis, maka diperlukan sebuah sistem pendukung keputusan agar lebih mudah dalam menentukan kayu terbaik sebagai bahan meubel yang akan digunakan perusahaan meubel di Desa Pegandon. Pada penelitian ini, metode yang digunakan yaitu SAW, yang berfungsi untuk melakukan pengambilan keputusan dari permasalahan yang tidak terstruktur, yang mana belum diketahui pasti bagaimana keputusan itu akan diambil. Kriteria yang digunakan untuk menentukan jenis kayu untuk bahan meubel yaitu sifat fisik, ketahanan, sifat mekanik, kelas kayu, dan tekstur. Sedangkan alternatifnya yaitu kayu trembesi, kayu sungkai, kayu mahoni, kayu jati, dan kayu mindi. Perhitungan metode SAW dapat menghasilkan perankingan alternatif kayu yang terbaik untuk bahan meubel, yaitu didapatkan kayu jati dengan nilai preferensi paling tinggi yaitu 1, kayu mahoni dengan nilai 0,89, kayu mindi 0,84, kayu trembesi 0,76, dan kayu sungkai 0,62.

Lecturers are academic staff who are in charge of planning and implementing the learning process, guidance and training, and are able to bring students into activities held by the University, both official and non-official. Selection of favorite lecturers chosen by students can encourage lecturers to communicate more with students to be able to invite students to take part in groups or organizations involving students and lecturers. However, in reality, Universitas Putra Indonesia YPTK Padang is still not actively conducting this election. To overcome these problems, a Decision Support System was designed to determine the student's favorite lecturers by using the simple additive weighting method. The Decision Support System for Determining Favorite Lecturers of Student Choice is a system that is able to increase the ease of decision making in determining lecturers who have student attractiveness so that students are more active and more competent in the guidance of the selected lecturers. In this system the lecturer's assessment is based on 5 criteria. The criteria used are responsibility, discipline, attitude, initiative, and presence. To get the final conclusion as an alternative decision to determine the lecturer of this choice requires the calculation process stage on each variable that has been determined based on the criteria. The position of the decision support system in this study is as a decision supporter, not replacing the role of the decision maker, so that the decision maker has the right to fully refer to the decision support system or not. The research results from the calculated simple additive weighting method can be concluded that the favorite lecturer of the student's choice is lecturer 2 with a score of 1.00 which is the result of the highest ranking and can be used as an alternative for determining the favorite lecturer of the student's choice.

“…Therefore, a decision support system is needed that can support decisions in the distribution of zakat based on the criteria that are entitled to receive zakat so that the distribution process reaches the right person is entitled. The method used in the study was Simple Additive Weighting (SAW) [9]. Charity is one of the good deeds taught in Islam. Doing charity is giving out or donating a piece of the property or money to someone else. The amil institution is one of the places where they receive donations and distribute them to those who are entitled. One of the amil institutions is Laznas PPPA Daarul Quran that has a mustahik service program where they must be focused on providing educational, health, venture capital, or other aid to mustahik. The problem we found is that mustahik selection is still conducted by hand, resulting in the lack of accuracy of mustahik. There are eight criteria in determining the mustahik; fardhu prayer, family income, reading Al-Quran, sunnah prayer, social activities, number of loads, residence, and marital status. The purpose of this research is to build a decision support system to facilitate the management and distribution of aid to make it more targeted. The method used in this research is Simple Additive Weighting or SAW with a model Fuzzy Multi-Attribute Decision Making or FMADM. The method is selected because it can choose the best alternative by calculating and weighting the weight value of any criteria, and then proceed to determining the mustahik and giving help based on the number of funds available.
