Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menentukan dosis abu sekam padi dan dosis pupuk kandang serta interaksi dosis yang optimal untuk pertumbuhan dan hasil bayam. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Mas Graha Village, Kabupaten Labuhanbatu yang berada pada ketinggian 26 meter diatas permukaan laut pada bulan agustus sampai bulan desember 2020. Penelitian menggunakan rancangan kelompok faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor. Faktor pertama abu sekam padi (A) terdiri dari 4 taraf, yaitu : A0 = 0 ton/ha (kontrol), A1 = 1 ton/ha setara dengan 50 g/m2 (dosis anjuran), A2 = 1,5 ton/ha setara dengan 75 g/m2. Faktor kedua yakni pemberian kotoran kambing (K) dengan tiga taraf yaitu : K0 = 0 ton/ha (kontrol) K1 = 2 ton/ha setara dengan 200 g/m2 (dosis anjuran), K2 = 4 ton/ha setara dengan 400 g/m2, K3 = 6 ton/ha setara dengan 600 g/m2. Adapun Parameter yang diukur adalah tinggi tanaman (cm), jumlah daun (helai) , berat per Tanaman Sampel (g). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa pemberian kotoran kambing 4 ton/ha setara dengan 400 g/m2 mampu meningkatkan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun dan berat per tanaman bayam sedangkan aplikasi 1,5 ton/ha abu sekam padi setara dengan 75 g/m2 mampu meningkatkan tinggi tanaman, jumlah daun tanaman bayam Merah.

<em>This research aimed to determine the optimal dosage of biochar and rice straw trichocompost for improving corn plant yield on Ultisol soil. The study was designed using a field experiment method with a Split Plot Design, consisting of two treatment factors. The first treatment factor was biochar with three levels: B0 = without biochar, B1 = 10 tons/ha, and B2 = 15 tons/ha. The second treatment factor was rice straw trichocompost with four levels: K0 = without trichocompost, K1 = 10 tons/ha, K2 = 15 tons/ha, and K3 = 20 tons/ha. The observed parameters for corn plant yield were cob length, cob diameter, dry weight of corn cobs, and dry weight of corn grains. The data collected from the observations were analyzed using an F-test at a significance level of 5%, followed by a Tukey test for further analysis. The results of the research indicated a significant effect of individual treatments of paddy straw biochar and rice straw trichocompost on corn plant yield, but there was no interaction between the treatments on corn yield in Ultisol soil. The optimal dosage of biochar for improving corn plant yield in Ultisol soil was found to be between 10 to 15 tons/ha. Meanwhile, the best dosage of rice straw trichocompost for enhancing corn plant yield in Ultisol soil was between 15 to 20 tons/ha.</em>

Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk melihat pengaruh dari pengaplikasian berbagai jenis pupuk terhadap dua varietas tanaman bawang merah. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan menggunakan metode Rancangan Acak Kelompok (RAK) pola faktorial yang terdiri dari dua faktor dan tiga ulangan. Faktor pertama terdiri dari dua varietas bawang merah dan faktor kedua terdiri dari beberapa jenis pupuk. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat perbedaan pertumbuhan dan hasil antara dua varietas tanaman bawang merah, varietas bima brebes memiliki pertumbuhan dan hasil yang lebih baik dibandingkan varietas tajuk. Pemberian pupuk dapat meningkatkan pertumbuhan dan hasil bawang merah, pupuk kandang sapi dan POC urine kelinci memiliki hasil yang sama baiknya dengan pupuk urea. Tidak terjadi interaksi antara dua varietas bawnag merah dan beberapa jenis pupuk pada semua peubah yang diteliti.
