Abstract: This inductive equipment causes a low value of the electric power factor. The low value of the power factor (cos phi) in an electric power system is a problem that must be minimized. With a low power factor value, it will cause losses for consumers as well as for electricity producers. Power factor improvements are carried out by installing a capacitor bank in parallel with the load.
