Abstract: 75 PERBANDINGAN TINGKAT KEAWETAN KAYU SENGON (Falcataria moluccana L. Nielsen) DAN KAYU SUGI (Cryptomeria japonica D. Don) DENGAN EKSTRAK LIMBAH KULIT KAYU JATI (Tectona grandis L.F.) TERHADAP SERANGAN RAYAP TANAH Coptotermes curvignathus Holmgren AbstractThe aim of the study was to obtain a comparison of the durability of sengon (Falcataria moluccana) and sugi wood (Cryptomeria japonica) after preservation with Jati (Tectona grandis) tree bark waste to subterranean termites Coptotermes curvignathus Holmgren a… Show more

“…The percentage weight loss of the test wood of each extract in the wood preservation was performed resulted in different percentage and the results of the 12 articles reviewed the optimum concentration of the preservative formulation used to be the most effective in producing the smallest percentage weight loss. The weight loss of the test wood has an inversely correlation with the mortality observation but in one linear phenomenon, which is the higher concentration of preservative given, the mortality value will increase and the weight loss value will decrease [21]. The sawdust waste extract test on the preservation of sengon wood to the smallest weight loss percentage of 1.35% can increase the durability of sengon wood from durability class IV-V to class I-II, which means it is resistant to very resistant to subterranean termite attack.…”

“…To overcome this problem, several forms of control have been carried out, one of which is by making biopesticides. Biopesticide is an insecticide made from from plant parts that have strong toxic compounds for insects [4] effort Control in this way is ideal. This is because the materials for making Insecticides are abundant in nature.…”

“…This study concluded that the application of encapsulated biochar of oil palm empty fruit bunches with a percentage of 25% showed the best results on the growth of sengon roots compared to other treatments.
