Perception of the Quality of Physiotherapy Care Provided to Outpatients from Primary Health Care in Chile

Abstract: We explored outpatient's perceptions on the quality of physiotherapy care provided in three urban primary care centers of Valdivia, Chile, through a descriptive phenomenological study. We collected data from 21 participants through semistructured interviews which were analyzed using the Colaizzi approach. Igualmente, la comunicación es importante, ya que se relaciona con el trato al paciente y la confianza establecida entre este y el profesional.Además, aspectos estructurales como la asignación de espacios, los equipos técnicos, el acceso al servicio y la disponibilidad, se relacionan con la percepción de la calidad del servicio recibido(19).Uno de los factores de menor satisfacción es el costo, pero en general, los pacientes están satisfechos con la experiencia y los resultados de la fisioterapia particular. Otro elemento importante para la satisfacción son los atributos interpersonales del fisioterapeuta y el proceso de cuidado, en especial, en afecciones del sistema músculo-esquelético, uno de los sistemas de mayor predominio en la atención(20)(21)(22)(23).Como lo mencionan López, et al (24), el servicio brindado por el centro de fisioterapia en los elementos tangibles, incluye las actividades de atención en el servicio, que son considerados y calificados como buenos; además, evaluaron la capacidad de repuesta según el tiempo de espera y tiempo de sesión esperando menos de media hora calificándolo también como un buen servicio.…”
