The research aimed to interpret the perceptions of early marriage, the union of two people in which one or both are under 18 years of age, through a phenomenological approach. The analysis was performed using observation techniques along with participation in in-depth interviews supported with an inductive approach of documentation analysis. The results showed that the society in Bawean Island, Indonesia, perceived the need for early marriage of 15-16 years old girls as matchmaking, avoidance of the social sanction of fornication and out-of-wedlock pregnancy, and as an economical solution for parents to shift responsibility. The results further showed that matchmaking and the avoidance of fornication are significant motivators for early marriage. Also, it was found that early marriages caused adverse effects on the wife, husband, and children. The effects are related to cases of pregnancy complication for the wife and psychological stress for the husband. The effect on children born of the early marriage is mainly neonatal infant mortality. The solutions offered to support the population development target and decrease early marriage numbers are to improve access to health facilities and information for women, and overcome cultural and social norms by discussing the impacts of early marriage with social and religious figures and stakeholders. The research can be used by the National Population and Family Planning Board (Indonesia) to decrease the number of early marriages in society.

The COVID-19 pandemic begins in China in 2019 and because of the connections of China with the rest of the World in trade and businesses, the virus started to spread quickly around the World. This rapidly spread causes serious negative effects on education, small, medium, and large businesses, economic, health, food security, employment, traveling, environment, energy, market, even causes countries to take loans and their debt rises. The specific knowledge about COVID-19 also affects education, which is a source of human capital formation. The data obtained from an online survey, covered from June 2020 to October 2020. The methods used are descriptive statistics, correlation, and multiple regression analysis. As the results generated, we confirmed that peoples’ perception about COVID-19 pandemic increases with mandatory testing in schools. In addition, the results also revealed that the work from the home measure is an insignificant negative impact on perception. 10% increases in work from the home measure, decreases people’s perception by 0.0305%. The results also confirmed that the reopening of schools had significant negative impact on mandatory testing in schools.10% increases in the reopening of school, decrease the mandatory testing in schools by 0.071%. In this regard, the main aim of this research is to understand the role of the COVID-19 pandemic on education, staff development, and training in Africa.

Erken yaş evlilikleri genellikle kız çocukları arasında görülmekte olan küresel bir sorundur. Erken yaşta gerçekleşen evliliklere eğitim durumu, sosyoekonomik durum, kültürel özellikler, dini inanış biçimleri, savaş ve göç gibi faktörler neden olmaktadır. Bu evlilikler kadınlarda doğum sayısının artması, kronik hastalıklar ve enfeksiyon gibi fizyolojik sonuçlara sebep olmaktadır. Aynı zamanda bu evlilikler intihar, depresyon, eğitimsizlik, sosyal izolasyon, şiddet görme, özgüven yetersizlikleri gibi psikososyal sonuçlara da neden olmaktadır. Erken yaşta gerçekleşen evlilikler hem fizyolojik hem de psikososyal sorunları da beraberinde getirerek, dünya ve ülkemiz için çözülmesi gereken ortak bir sorun haline gelmiştir. Bu sorunun öncelikli olarak önlenmesi ve nihayetinde çözüme kavuşturulması için; yasal düzenlemelerin uygulanması, toplumun bilinç düzeyinin artırılması, adölesan grubun eğitimine önem verilmesinde, toplum sağlığı hizmetlerinde önemli role sahip olan ebelere sorumluluklar düşmektedir. Bu derleme erken yaşta gerçekleştirilen evliliklerin kadın sağlığının psikososyal boyutuna etkilerinin açıklanması ve erken evliliklerde ebelik yaklaşımlarının belirlenmesi amacıyla yazılmıştır.
