“…In large series, major morbidity associated with surgical gastrostomy in infants and children ranges from 2% to 7%, minor morbidity from 7% to 10%, and mortality from 0% to 4% [1 1. In 1 980, percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy was introduced as an alternative to surgery [2], and since that time it has been performed in adults [3,4] and children [5]. We report our experience with an alternative method of percutaneous gastrostomy in infants and children; this procedure is nonendoscopic and is performed by using sonognaphic and fluoroscopic guidance.…”
