Performance Analysis and Power Allocation for Cooperative ISAC Networks

Abstract: To mitigate the overlapping of the radar and communication frequency bands caused by large-scale devices access, we propose a novel integrated sensing and communication (ISAC) system, where a micro base station (MiBS) simultaneously carries out both target sensing and cooperative communication. Concretely, the MiBS, acting as the sensing equipment, can also serve as a full-duplex decode-and-forward relay to assist end-to-end communication. Moreover, non-orthogonal downlink transmission (NO-DLT) is adopted betw… Show more

“…The achievable rate refers to the transmission throughput that can be realized under the given communication channel conditions and is an important indicator for communication performance evaluation. In [27], in the communication performance-centric ISAC, the achievable rate is optimized as a constraint objective to realize optimal communication performance.…”

“…As a further advance, a cooperative NO-DLT ISAC system was proposed in [20], where the BS communicated with multiple users and simultaneously served as a relay to assist the radar in target sensing. In [21], a novel macro-micro cooperative system was proposed, in which the micro-station can simultaneously carry out the functions of cooperative relaying and target sensing. More recently, a novel secure NO-DLT ISAC system was developed in [22], where the sensing target was regarded as an eavesdropper.…”

“…Local leader decision (LLD) phase and Global Leader Decision (GLD) phase. If any local leader position is not updated to the threshold local leader limit, then the members in that subgroup update their positions either by random initialization or by collective information from the global leader and local leader through (19), based on the pr. The pseudocode of this phase for the kth group is shown in Lines 1-8 of Algorithm 3.…”
