Performance Analysis of T-type Inverter Based on Improved Hysteresis Current Controller

Abstract: This paper presents an improved hysteresis current control method for five level T-type inverter. The proposed method is based on four hysteresis levels and performed to generate switching signals of fundamental transistors in T-type inverter. By using generated signals through hysteresis controller, bidirectional switch in T-type inverter is triggered through the logical way. The system is detailed in analytical expression and exhibited to generate five voltage levels at the output of inverter. The improved t… Show more

“…Thus, the feedback control system was tested according to the switching control signals for the operating frequency values (at kHz levels) according to different hysteresis bands. Compared with the traditional SPWM technique applied of the multi-level T type inverters, it can be said that the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) of this type of controller usage is lower than the SPWM controlled inverters [6].…”

“…The rectifiers are usually influenced by the external disturbance and changing operation conditions. Various control approaches have been conducted for Viennatype rectifiers such as HCC method [9,10], carrier baseddiscontinuous pulse width modulation (PWM) [11], a lagging reactive power compensation method [12] and a model predictive control (MPC) [13][14][15]. In these control algorithms, classical PI controller has been employed to regulate the DClink voltage.…”
