Performance Assessment of Solar Generating Units Based on Coot Bird Metaheuristic Optimizer

Abstract: In this paper, a comprehensive methodology based on coot bird metahurestic optimizer called CBMO is presented aiming to demonstrate the performance of solar units under various operating and loading scenarios. The CBMO is capable to deal with different complicated behavior in both harmonized or disorderly phases and can define its major parameters with proofed indicators. It can convey from exploration state to exploitation state to realize a fast and better convergence without trapping in local minima. At fir… Show more

“…Recently, the CBOA is applied to improve the performance and efficiency of solar cells under different operational and loading conditions based on sun radiations and cell temperatures. 27 CBOA also performed very well in solving real-world engineering problems. They use a simple mechanism of leader selection and also perform better on hybrid functions.…”

“…In [47], Memarzadeh et al used the COOT algorithm to optimize the parameters of a wind power prediction model. In [48], Gouda et al used the COOT optimization algorithm to test the performance of solar power generator units. In [49], Mahdy et al combined the COOT optimization algorithm with an anti-windup approach as a way to improve the transient stability of a wave energy conversion system (WECS).…”

“…return on investment, lower maintenance, secured long-term cost of the energy, sustainable, and viable source [1]- [5]. PVGSs face many challenges as its generation changeability due to environmental conditions, nonlinear behavior, devices depreciation, required wide areas for large plants, and expensive storage arrangements [6], [7]. A lot of research papers have been introduced to overcome these problems and obtain the best PV performance.…”
