Performance Comparison based on Open Shortest Path First (OSPF) Routing Algorithm for IP Internet Networks

With the development of new technologies and applications, such as the Internet of Things, smart cities, 5G, and edge computing, traditional Internet Protocol-based (IP-based) networks have been exposed as having many problems. Information-Centric Networking (ICN), Named Data Networking (NDN), and Content-Centric Networking (CCN) are therefore proposed as an alternative for future networks. However, unlike IP-based networks, CCN routing is non-deterministic and difficult to optimize due to frequent in-network caching replacement. This paper presents a novel probe-based routing algorithm that explores real-time in-network caching to ensure the routing table storing the optimal paths to the nearest content provider is up to date. Effective probe-selections, Pending Interest Table (PIT) probe, and Forwarding Information Base (FIB) probe are discussed and analyzed by simulation with different performance measurements. Compared with the basic CCN, in terms of qualitative analysis, the additional computational overhead of our approach is O(NCS + Nrt + NFIB ∗ NSPT) and O(NFIB) on processing interest packets and data packets, respectively. However, in terms of quantitative analysis, our approach reduces the number of timeout interests by 6% and the average response time by 0.6 s. Furthermore, although basic CCN and our approach belong to the same Quality of Service (QoS) category, our approach outperforms basic CCN in terms of real values. Additionally, our probe-based approach performs better than RECIF+PIF and EEGPR. Owing to speedup FIB updating by probes, our approach provides more reliable interest packet routing when accounting for router failures. In summary, the results demonstrate that compared to basic CCN, our probe-based routing approach raises FIB accuracy and reduces network congestion and response time, resulting in efficient routing.

Penentuan jadwal merupakan proses yang cukup rumit karena melibatkan beberapa faktor determinan, bagi tingkat universitas penentuan jadwal mengajar dosen sangat ditentukan berdasarkan keahlian masing-masing dosen dalam mengampu mata kuliah dan juga ketersediaan waktu mengajar. Penjadwalan pada tingkat universitas akan dipengaruhi oleh jam mengajar, ruang kelas, dosen pengampu, mata kuliah, kelas. Pada penelitian ini kami mengusulkan penggunaan extended genetic algorithm (EGA) dalam penjadwalan dengan strategi greedy dan pembatasan jumlah mengajar dosen berdasarkan kebijakan universitas untuk masing-masing jenis dosen. Proses perhitungan berdasarkan algoritma dan juga kemudahan aplikasi telah sesuai atau belum. Hasil dari kuisioner penilaian yang dilakukan oleh 20 orang pengguna telah memberikan nilai 100% untuk kesesuaian proses perhitungan yaitu dari penilaian A – E, sedangkan untuk kenyamanan aplikasi dari point F – G adalah sebesar 92,5% yang menyatakan nyaman, dan 7,5% yang menyatakan kurang nyaman.

The rapid development of Information Technology (IT) has made a high availability web server a necessity. CloudLinux is a CentOS-based operating system specifically for the needs of servers with good high availability. This study will implement and analyze a CloudLinux-based web server for the Embassy of the Kingdom of Morocco in Jakarta to replace the current CentOS-based web server that does not meet high availability standards. The research methodology used in this study is the PPDIOO Life-cycle from Cisco. Designing a network according to the customer's needs requires identifying several elements in it, including the goals and constraints faced by the organization. Cisco creates a network life-cycle that can help these problems into six phases: Prepare, Plan, Design, Implement, Operate, and Optimize (PPDIOO). This study aims to determine how well the uptime, response time, and load impact are on the CloudLinux-based web server. The uptime test results on the CloudLinux-based web server have a value of an average of 99.971%. Testing the response time on the CloudLinux-based web server has an average value of 684.75ms (milliseconds). The results of the load impact test on the CloudLinux-based web server using ten virtual users (10VU) has a total value of 7595 requests, load impact using fifteen virtual users (15VU) has a total value of 11315 requests, and finally, load impact using twenty-five virtual users (25VU) has a total value of 18631 requests.
