“…1. Denim fibers and their microstructure Ultrasonic testing (Bhuiyan et al 2018), imaging (Boni et al 2018), and evaluations (Sarro and Ferreira 2019) have continuously contributed to academia (Tang et al 2019), industrial (Hwang et al 2019), and biomedical fields (Sigrist et al 2017). Ultrasound-based techniques provide information such as reflection intensity (Taheri and Hassan 2019) and speed of sound (Minh et al 2019) to estimate discontinuity imaging and elastic properties (Reese et al 2021).…”

“…The most sensitive method is ultrasonic testing. The use of ultrasonic testing for dissimilar welded joints of reactor equipment is noted in several works [7,8].Essentially, testing is carried out using special equipment and techniques that take into account the design features of each welded joint [9,10]. However, the coarse-grained structure leads to a high attenuation of ultrasonic vibrations in the austenitic steels, and the complex structure of a dissimilar welded joint displays a high level of interference [11].…”

“…The most widespread method of non-destructive testing of dissimilar welded joints is ultrasonic testing. In a number of papers the effective use of ultrasonic testing of dissimilar welded joints in power engineering equipment is shown [9][10][11], but it is noted that inspection of dissimilar welded joints, as a rule, is carried out due to the complication of the inspection procedure and the development of specialized methods that take into account the design features of each welded joint [12][13][14]. Moreover, when using nondestructive testing methods, diffusion interlayers create structural noises that interfere detection of defects such as cracks, pores, or lack of penetration, which makes dissimilar welded joints a difficult object for diagnostics.…”
