The naval industry is being imposed by international maritime organisation (IMO) [1] to gradually reduce its green house gas emission. Different types of pollutant gases are produced by the marine fuels [2] consumed by bulk carriers, cargo ships, passenger vessels, etc., which is harmful to both humans and environment. Therefore maritime sector is diverging from fossil fuels and moving toward new energy resources like batteries, fuel cells, photovoltaic (PV) cells, wind energy, biofuels, hydrogen, liquefied natural gas (LNG), liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), etc. for becoming zero emission vessel (ZEV) [3−9].
