Abstract:A kind of traffic shaping scheme for Optical Packet Switched (OPS) networks is described in this paper. This scheme situated at optical packet ingress switches shapes external traffic based on a re-negotiated service model with rate prediction, allowing smoothed traffic to flow into optical core network.
