Performance of conical hydrodynamic journal bearing under the worn-out condition

Abstract: Purpose Where combined radial and axial loads act on the bearing, the conical journal bearing is best suited. Large turbines, generators, compressors and other machinery perform better while using conical hydrodynamic journal bearings (CHJBs).
