“…This abrupt reduction corroborates the idea that at higher levels of geopolymeric reactions of material consolidation in the matrix, they occurred in a more potent way, contributing to the constitution of a more homogeneous and integral product in its constitution 33 . Even in smaller ratios, as in 2.5 and 3, the effect of simple filling of the internal pores by the waste was not able to reduce the absorption of water, because according to the literature in these cases there are some voids in the interfacial region, between the grains waste and geopolymeric paste, which justifies these higher values 8,39 …”

“…Some studies in the literature have already indicated that for applications in ceramic tiles the water absorption must be up to 22%, and all the evaluated mixtures met this requirement 40 . Very low values can be problematic, as it can affect under conditions of final durability of the material, so we can indicate that with the addition of the glass waste and with a ratio of SiO 2 /Al 2 O 3 in the order of 3.5 or 4 it is suitable according to water absorption for these specimens 39 . The results of the mechanical resistance to flexion (MRF) in both conditions, without and with waste, are shown respectively in Figures 10 and 11.…”

“…In the realm of smart materials, AAM were initially used as bonding agents [20] and as encapsulants [21] for conventional sensors. However, as the understanding and the technology of AAM progresses, the need for these additional sensing devices has diminished: interrogation of changes in the electrolytic conductivity of AAM allow them to be directly used as a sensing tool in their own right [22].…”
