“…Yield parameter had showed the maximum values in planting date D 3 (10 th August) which could be due to weather parameters like rainfall, humidity, temperature and photoperiod were in optimum range. Similar results were reported by Hirave et al (2015). The different varietal characters of onion and availability of 11-12 hrs sunlight stimulated bulb formation as reported by Sharma and Jarial (2017).…”

“…Furthermore, because average bulb weight has a direct effect on onion bulb production, the variety with the highest average bulb weight indicates strong yielding potential and superior performance. The variation in the bulb yield differed between the genotypes was also reported by Hirave et al [15], Bal et al [16] and Begna et al [14].…”

“…The flowers were tightly packed, and about a week or 10 days after the start of flowering, the opening of new flower buds tended to displace adjacent flowers which had opened previously. Flowers which opened later, developed longer pedicels and consequently the earlier flowers became buried, once they reached stage 6, under a layer of more recent flowers [10,29,[3][4][5][6][7][8][9][18][19][20][21][22][23][11][12][13][14][15][16][17][24][25][26][27][28][30][31][32].…”
