Abstract:Lipase is a type of biocatalyst that can work with substrates of lipid classes. Rhizomucor meihei is of lipase enzymes classes, that can react specifically with Palm Fatty Acid Distillate (PFAD) forming fatty monoethanolamide. Monoethanolamide surfactants are compounds which are widely used in the cosmetics industry as emulsifiers. Monoethanolamide having OH- groups, so it is easily soluble in water. Monoethanolamide can be produced from fatty acids with monoethanolamide using alkaline catalyst or a biocatalys… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
