Performance of Seven Land Surface Schemes in the WRFv4.3 Model for Simulating Precipitation in the Record‐Breaking Meiyu Season Over the Yangtze–Huaihe River Valley in China

Abstract: China experiences some of the heaviest rainstorms among the countries in East Asia. Flood disasters caused by rainstorms occur frequently every few years, and one of the areas affected most severely by floods is the Yangtze-Huaihe river valley (YHRV), where about 40% of the total flood disasters in China occur (Huang et al., 2021;Wu et al., 2021).
