Performance of Solar Module with Presence of Two Types of Reflectors in Concentrator System

Abstract: Any work to improve the performance of the solar modules could add to their economic competitiveness against fossil fuels. In the present work the performance of PV solar module was improved by using V-Trough concentrator system (CPV) which moved by two axis tracking system. The concentrator consists of two flat reflectors of area 2 m2 for each one with geometric concentration ratio of 2X. To optimize the performance of the V-Trough CPV systems, two types of reflector material, Aluminum and mirror (glass coate… Show more

“…Since Iraq is rich in this type of sources, research IOP Publishing doi:10.1088/1755-1315/1325/1/012035 2 began to study this type of source and invest it in the production of electrical energy directly using photovoltaic solar module systems. Many researches have been conducted in this field, including the study of solar activity, testing the performance of solar modules in the Iraqi atmosphere, and measuring the daily, monthly and annual output of the energy produced [1][2][3][4].…”

“…The development in the technology of photovoltaic (PV) system caused a great increase in efficiency and a reduction in the PV system cost [9][10][11]. Solar PV systems are among the most efficient means of generating electricity in Iraq [12][13][14][15][16]. Iraq and most countries have started to use PV panels to generate electrical energy.…”
