Peri(vascular)cytes identity in the brain

Abstract: Pericytes are multifunctional cells, and critical elements of the neurovascular unit (NVU) for regulating cerebral blood flow and blood-brain barrier (BBB) integrity, as well as angiogenesis, wound repair and neuroinflammation.
