Perilaku Lentur Balok Beton Gradasi Dengan Menggunakan Tulangan Maksimum

Abstract

Previous research has proven that graded concrete can be applied as an optimization on construction work. Global provisions recommend structural planners design ductile structural elements. However, the use of maximum reinforcement ratios is often encountered due to limitations on the dimensions of the structural elements. This study aims to observe the behaviour of graded concrete beams using a maximum reinforcement ratio. The graded concrete beam specimen was made by layering the concrete mix of 40 MPa on the compressive fibre and the concrete mix of 20 MPa on the tensile fibre of the beam. The test was conducted when the beam specimen is 28 days old. The results of this study are 1) At rupture, graded concrete has lower crack resistance; 2) At yield point, the presence of higher strength concrete in the compression fibre increases the load capacity so that the yield rate of reinforcement also increases; 3) At the ultimate condition, as the reinforcement of gra ded concrete in corresponding to the lower concrete strength, the resulting load performance increases accompanied by a decrease in the deflection. In graded concrete specimens in which the reinforcement is designed to correspond to higher concrete strength, the resulting load performance decreases and the deflection increases; 4) The presence of higher strength concrete in the compression fibres of the graded concrete beam increases the stiffness of structural elements; 5) The crack pattern occurring in the overall specimen is shear cracks, which form open diagonal cracks..
