Today, autism is one of the most common disorders of the development of the nervous system. However, the etiology of its occurrence not fully understood. Understanding the factors that can influence the risk of developing autism spectrum disorders (ASD) will allow to develop more effective strategies for prevention and early diagnosis of this disorder. Purpose. To analyze risk factors for the development of ASD. Goal. To determine the most significant risk factors and their influence on the development of ASD. Methods. We searched for scientific articles in the PubMed and Google Scholar systems regarding numerous factors associated with the risk of developing ASD. The search terms used were the words "autism" in combination with the words "perinatal", "prenatal", "neonatal", "pregnancy". They analyzed with each risk factor covered in this article. The results.
