Periodic trends in trivalent actinide halides, phosphates, and arsenates

Abstract

Periodic trends of trivalent actinide model systems halides AnX3, AnPO4, and AnAsO4 have been explored using scalar/spin–orbit relativistic density functional theory. The trends exhibit a pre-Pu and a post-Cm behaviour, with Am acting as the switch.
