Abstract:This case report describes the care provided to a 35-year-old primagravida having an elective section who had undergone clam cystoileoplasty eight years prior. It examines the literature relating to this surgical technique and its implications for obstetric practice. It also examines anaesthetic considerations related to the surgery. Close involvement with urology surgeons is essential and the patient must be supported in their choices relating to ongoing management of continence.
