Peripheral benzodiazepine receptors in platelets of epileptic patients.

Abstract: Tolerance to the anticonvulsant effect of benzodiazepines is likely to involve changes at the central benzodiazepine‐GABA receptor complex. Peripheral benzodiazepine receptors (pBZRs), which can be measured in platelets, may also be involved.
