Abstract: Purpose Both monogenic autoinflammatory syndromes, such as Chronic Granulomatous Disease (CGD) and Familial Mediterranean Fever (FMF), and the common inflammatory disease gout are characterized by episodes of sterile inflammatory attacks in the absence of an infection.
