Abstract:Hybrid zones offer unique insight into reproductive barriers and plant speciation mechanisms. This study investigated postzygotic reproductive isolation in the natural hybrid Epidendrum × purpureum, which occurs in sympatry with its parent species, Epidendrum denticulatum and E. orchidiflorum.
