Abstract:Summary
Normotensive women with a previous history of oestrogen‐associated hypertension were found to have raised platelet factor 3 (PF3) availability, raised triglycerides and pre‐β‐lipoprotein and impaired fibrinolytic activity and capacity, but were shown to have normal platelet lifespan and renal platelet localization. The significance of these abnormalities in relation to the development of hypertension and to the intrarenal vascular disease found in these patients is discussed.
