Personality, Psychopathology, and the Neurotransmitter Attributes Questionnaire (NAQ)

Abstract: In this study, 901 participants completed an anonymous Internet-based survey, including a new instrument, the Neurotransmitter Attributes Questionnaire (NAQ), indicating possible dysfunction of the serotonergic or dopaminergic circuits. NAQ items were derived from questions prescribing professionals commonly ask new patients whose symptoms call for psychopharmacological treatments, sometimes in combination with psychosocial interventions. Rasch modeling was used to establish item quality, subscale reliability,… Show more

“…While Neuro-finance researchers used biological instruments to perform a large number of neuro-finance studies (e.g., Anderson et al, 2015;Ardalan, 2018;Connor, Berry, Lewis, Rangan, & Poursohrab, 2013;Frydman, 2012;Mccormick et al, 2019;Miendlarzewska et al, 2017), most of the scales were developed in the medical field, to analyse; how the neurotransmitters were involved in dietary, measuring the impact of neurotransmitter's unbalancing on health, and for medicine experiments (Braverman, 2005;Colbert, 2012;Kharrazian, 2008;Ross, 2019;Tessler, 2009). Studies investigating the dimensions of neuro-finance construct are absent from the literature.…”
