Abstract:For nearly five decades, Indonesia's agriculture ministry has promoted food diversification. Despite this, few studies have looked at government policies to increase local food consumption. We interviewed a diverse group consisting of local government officials, local business executives, consumers and food decision-makers in both urban and rural households.
