Abstract

The result of research shown that the system of responsibility of the President after the amendment of the 1945 Constitution is a system of legal liability in the constitutional system, namely accountability with material of violation of law in the form of criminal law and political action conducted in the term of office. The forms of responsibility of the President are the accountability of criminal and / or political accountability due to the inability to fulfill the obligation as President of RI which then qualified as legal liability in state administration system with the highest sanction is dismissal from office.The accountability procedure is upheld by state institutions by presenting three different state institutions' roles, namely the People's Legislative Assembly as the only institution that has the authority to demand, the Constitutional Court as the institution authorized to examine, hear and decide upon the violation of law, and MPR as the only authorized institution impose sanctions in the form of dismissal from office (impeachment).
