Abstract: INTRODUCTION TBI (traumatic brain injury) is associated with an increased risk of late neurodegeneration in chronic TBI survivors. The underlying pathophysiology of trauma-related neurodegeneration is hypothesized to involve a tauopathy, with p-tau deposited in beta-pleated sheets.
