pH Metric Study of Complexe Formation of Some Alkali and Alkaline Earth Metal with two Dicarboxylic Acid Ligands

Abstract: The stability constants of two dicarboxylic acid ligands (1,7-Bis (2′-benzoic acid)-1,4,7-trioxaheptane (L1) and 1,10-Bis(2′-benzoic acid)-1,4,7,10-tetraoxadecane(L2) ) with Na +, K + , Ca 2+ and Mg 2+ in ethanol -water solvent mixtures were determined. The ratio of ligand / metal in these complexes is 1/1, and the stability constants of K + with L1 and L2 are higher than Na + and the stability constants of Ca 2+ with L1 and L2 are higher than Mg 2+ complexes.
