Phantom-Like Behavior in Modified Teleparallel Gravity

Abstract: The recent data from Planck2018 shows that the equation of state parameter of effective cosmic fluid today is w 0 = −1.03 ± 0.03. This indicates that it is possible for the universe to be in a phantom dominated era today. While a phantom field is essentially capable to explain this observation, it suffers from some serious problems such as instabilities and violation of the null energy condition. So, it would be interesting to realize this effective phantom behavior without adopting a phantom field. In this pa… Show more

“…[24][25][26][27][28][29][30][31][32] The crossing of the phantom divide line by the dark energy equation of state has two possible cosmic indications. [33][34][35][36][37][38] One is either the dark energy consists of numerous components, at least one of which is a noncanonical phantom component, or general relativity must be extended to a cosmological scale theory. The current study looks into the cosmic evolution in the exponential [39,40,48] and logarithmic [40] f (Q) theories.…”

“…Apart from this, it has some other advantages such that the slow roll conditions that are assumed to hold; thus, the observational indices have general expressions regarding the slow-roll parameters in the inflationary scenario investigated by Odintsov et al [48]. Using modified teleparallel gravity, Karimzadeh et al demonstrated the possibility of achieving effective phantom behavior without adopting phantom fields [49]. The scalar perturbation technique creates the perturbed evolution equations, and their stability has been demonstrated by Duchaniya et al [50].…”
