Pharmacognostic, phytochemical, physicochemical and TLC profile study Mace (Aril) of Myristica malabarica Lamk. (Myristicaceae)

Abstract: The plant Myristica malabarica Lamk. is traditionally used as a medicine and spices in food . It is belonging to family Myristicaceae. The plant is native to India and endangered trees are mostly found in western ghat. Extracted with various solvents by successive soxhlet hot extraction processs with increasing order of polarity on phytochemical investigation.
