Abstract:BackgroundS‐pindolol has metabolic effects of potential benefit in cancer cachexia: reduced catabolism through nonselective β‐blockade; increased anabolism through partial β2 receptor agonism; and increased appetite and reduced fatigue through central 5‐hydroxytryptamine/serotonin receptor activity.
