Pharmacological aspects of Turbinaria

Abstract: Seaweeds, are plant-like organisms that generally live attached to rock or other hard substrata in coastal areas. The brown color of these algae results from the dominance of the xanthophyll pigment fucoxanthin. Brown algae (Phaeophyceae) is a genus of Turbinaria found in tropical marine waters, which grows on rocky substrates.
