“…It should be stressed that the authors employed both the du Noüy ring and Wilhelmy plate methods to confirm the accuracy of the measurements [31,33]. Although some large deviations exist between our data and literature data it must be noted that large deviations are still observed among the data from differ- [28,34]. These differences could be attributed to the ionic liquid purity level, including the amount of water, halides, volatile compounds, and other surface-active contaminants such as oxygen-containing carbohydrates and polysiloxanes [36,37].…”

“…The percentage relative deviations (%RD) between our data and those from literature [28][29][30][31][32][33][34][35] are summarized in figure 3. Positive and negative relative deviations are found between our data and those already published.…”

“…[11][12][13] The solid-liquid phase behaviour for this kind of systems has been studied intensely. [14][15][16][17][18] Unfortunately the disadvantage of this approach is that such mixtures do not always preserve desired properties of ILs like e.g. non-volatility or aprotic character.…”

“…Recently, the activity coefficients of many organic solvents and water were measured in [PMPIP][NTf 2 ] [26]. The selectivities obtained for the separation of the aromatic hydrocarbons from the aliphatic hydrocarbons were on the average level, but the selectivity for the n-hexane/thiophene separation problem was quite high, S ∞ 12 = 28.6 at T = 308.15 K. The choose of anions in this work was dictated by the previous very optimistic results in the extraction with the thiocyanate-based-anion ionic liquids [16,17,[27][28][29][30] and with the bis{(trifluoromethyl)sulfonyl}imide-based-anion ionic liquids [21][22][23][24][25]. This paper is a continuation of our wide ranging investigation into ILs containing the thiocyanate anion.…”
